Looking back at your preliminary task (the school magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

Concentrate on mise en scene and camerawork.

Grab some images from both tasks and put them on the blog and show what you know about shot types, magazine terms etc. Explain how you've improved.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

In pairs, take a picture of each other holding the kit you have used. This might just be the camera and tripod, and your Macbook but there may be other things you want in the shot.

Drop the image onto your blog and annotate it, adding all the programs and other technology you have used as screengrabs and what you learnt about it/from using it. Your written text need only be minimal. You could include reference to all the online and computer programs you have used such as flickr, blogger, facebook, photoshop, vimeo, scribd, slideshare etc.

How did you attract/address your audience?

Take a screen grab of your magazines cover, content and spread and place into iMovie, movie make etc. You will then use YOUTUBE's annotation tools to add NOTES, SPEECHBUBBLES, and LINKS to your magazine:

These annotations will highlight the ways in which your Magazine links to other similiar films in order to attract the particular Audience you have previously identified.

Your annotations will refer to genre conventions, use of iconography, similarities with other magazines and what you have identified as the Unique Selling Point of your imaginary film.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

You should have a drawing of your target audience member and an explanation of what kinds of taste they might have- where they would shop, what music they would listen to, what their favourite Tv programme would be, etc.

make sure you have taken a photo of it, post it on the blog and write a few notes on why they would buy your magazine.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

For this question, you are going to do a 'director's commentary' style voiceover explaining some of the key features of your magazine cover

You will need to script the voiceover which deals with institutional issues to include:

discussion of your production company name and logo and the role of such companies

What does a publishing company do?
the idea of a distributor and who that might be and why. start here
where the money might have come from for a magazine such as yours here
what your magazine is similar to 'institutionally' (name some magazines which would be released in a similar way)
You need to refer to actual company names and processes so you will need to maybe do a bit more research into magazine publishers like emap

When you have scripted, record the voiceover using iMovie, windows movie maker etc on a new audio timeline, then export to quicktime and embed on blog. (this is a good example of what you can do. It was created for A2 and a slightly different question but the style is correct).

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Pick a key image of your artist from your magazine (ideally the cover image). Take a screengrab of a reasonable sized image of them. Think of one or more recording artists/stars from other magazines with some similarity to them (but maybe some differences too!), find an image on the web of that/those stars and grab it as well. Drop the two into photoshop, as a split screen. Export this splitscreen image as a jpeg then drop onto your blog and write about the similarities and differences in terms of appearance, costume etc.

So for example if you have a female R&B star on your cover, look for other female R&B star to compare them with (remember to try and ensure that they are of a similar age, race etc)...

Final Magazine Changes

For the final images of my magazine, I decided that I wanted to use one model instead of five models. This made the process much quicker and easier, as I found that it was hard to find any free time to organize for all of the model's to get together for the photoshoot. I decided this was best because I couldn't afford to lose anymore valuable time waiting to get them all together. This meant that if I wanted to take images of them all, it would of had to have been done in school time, which I have already decided from previous decisions that it is best not to shoot the photos at school due to the problems that I faced.

From looking back at the test shots I used for my mocks and drafts, I decided that I didn't want to do the photoshoot at school. This was because the setting was located at school, which created a school scene environment. This would not have been ideal to use on my magazine as it wouldn't of fit in with the genre. It would also lose appeal from the target market, as teenagers are at school everyday and wouldn't necessarily want to be seeing school in their choice of magazine.

The setting on the test shots has an old, run-down look to it because the school is a fairly old building. The place that I took my test shots was the only free space that we could find, which was an old part of the school that hadn't been renovated. This is not what I want for my final magazine. I thought it best to completely change my original ideas to prevent this problem from happening again, to ensure that my final magazine looks as modern and professional as it can.

From using one model instead of five, it made the process a lot quicker and handier as I only had one person's hair, make-up and outfits to arrange. It also allowed me to be able to take the images from home. This made it easier for my model to be able to change outfits, as we found this was difficult when I previously took the test photo shoot at school. It also allowed time for me to do her hair and make-up properly, so that it was suitable for a magazine standard. This made the images look far more professional.

I have also decided that I will be changing my Double-page Spread article. This is because as I am no longer doing the band, I won't be able to use the same article as I used on my drafts. I have decided that I want to create a storyline about Hanna (the model that I have used for the final shoot) leaving the band. I found that this would be an original, yet catchy storyline which would make the context of the magazine far more interesting. Also, this keeps my ideas and planning for my magazine alive, as the band 'Ultralove' will still exist - except from the fact that it has lost a band mate. This way, I could include the band into my final magazine, by editing the test shot images to cut Hanna out so that I could include this onto the content's page. This will improve the content's page by having images of other artists in the magazine, as the magazine is not going to be all about Hanna.

Evaluation of Draft Music Magazine

In what ways does your magazine represent particular social groups?
My magazine is based on pop music. This represents young females between the ages of 10-21 as this particular social group would be most interested in this era. This is represented by the use of feminine colours and the girl bands. The fonts used also give a ‘poppy’ feel to the magazine. Because of this genre, I decided it would be best to aim my magazine for young females between the ages of 15-21.

Who would be the audience for your magazine?
The audience for my magazine would be aimed at teenagers and young adults. It would fit in more with the female gender, because of the feminine feel that it gives. This is shown by the use of bright feminine colours such as ‘pink’. I think this colour works well, as it suits the band ‘Ultralove’, as the band mates are all females.

How did you attract/direct your audience?
I want to make the final magazine more relevant to the target audience, to gain their attention to attract them to the magazine more. On my drafts, I have only included female artists. Female teenagers/young adults would be rather interested in male pop artists. Music magazines include posters so that they could be cut out. I have decided I will take photos of males as well as females so that it gains a lot more attraction. This way, I can include the images on the contents page.

What kind of media institution might distribute your magazine and why?
A media institution such as a magazine company would distribute my magazine. The company would probably have an interest in the well-doing of music, especially focusing in the pop genre. They would want to distribute my magazine because music is a very popular subject, and therefore would attract many customers. Also, my magazine is a modern genre featuring music from the charts. This would mean the magazine wouldn’t be out of date, which would attract the new modern generation.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing your magazine?
From the process of constructing my magazine, I have learnt about using media based technologies such as cameras and IT. For IT I used all sorts of equipment, ranging from professional programmes such as Photoshop and more complex programme’s like Paint. I used Photoshop to create the drafts. I will use the same technology when creating my final magazine.

Draft Feedback: Improvements to Final Magazine

From looking at the feedback and comments of my drafts, I have learnt that I will need to do a few things to improve the magazine, for the front cover, content's page and double-page spread. One of the main things that I will need to improve on is the use of images. This is probably the most important, as the images will be used on all three pages of the magazine. I will need to ensure that I get the best quality shots possible, including a variety of as many shots as I can. Things that will improve the final photos that I get will be: the outfits, the make-up and the setting. From my test shots I found that I need to get a much better location, rather than having the shoot taken around school.  All of these will make the photos a lot more relevant to my magazine, than my previous shots. I will also need other images to include in or on the magazine so that I don’t just have photos of the band. I could take shots of males to include on the contents. The target audience for the magazine is aimed at girls aged between 15-21.

For the front cover, I have decided to change the magazine to a monthly edition, rather than a weekly one. I will need to change the subheading ‘The weekly pop music magazine’ to ‘The monthly pop music magazine’. I think this will be a lot more suitable for the magazine. On my draft, I thought ‘£2.99’ suited the price well for the magazine. However, I found this was too expensive just for a weekly magazine, especially for my target audience. People aged between 15-21 probably wouldn’t be able to afford or willing to pay £2.99 a week, especially with cheaper competition such as ‘Heat’ and ‘Closer’ for under £1. From looking at inspiration of monthly magazines, I have decided that a price such as ‘£3.40’ would be suitable for my magazine. This will be affordable at a monthly cost. I will need to consider how many pages my magazine will have. For £3.40 people would expect a magazine with lots of pages. I also came across an error on the page.

The date of the edition was entitled ‘Feb 2010’, instead of ‘2011’. I will need to ensure that I change the date, and ensure that it is the correct one as this is vital. Many magazines come out onto the shelves every month. If the date was printed wrong, they would be thought to be out of date, and people would probably be put off buying them if they thought it was an old edition.

For the content’s page I will need to include a variety of different photos, using different shots and images of other artists. On my draft, all the photos are of ‘Ultralove’. This doesn’t fit in with the magazine, as the whole magazine isn’t just about Ultralove. I will need to get more models and come up with new artist names to come up with other artists. This will also improve my front cover, as I will use the new artist’s names in contrast to using existing artist names such as ‘Rihanna’ or ‘Miley Cyrus’.  I want to include a variety of different shots so that I can get photos at all angles. This will make the magazine look more interesting, as the photos will all be different.

Music magazines have many pages, usually into 3 figured numbers. My final magazine will be a monthly edition. Monthly editions in any magazine tend to have a lot more pages than a weekly edition would. For my draft, the contents page only had up to 16 pages, which is obviously far less than any ordinary magazine. To improve this on my final magazine, I will have to ensure that I include a lot more pages, especially considering it will be a monthly edition. I will need to make the contents more specific, by including a lot more information. This will need to fit on the page, so I will need to have a suitable font size, and brief simple sentences or phrases.

For the double-page spread, I will need to improve the quality of the photo. The editing looks poor which gives a very grainy effect. This makes it look blurry and unclear, which is not professional for a music magazine. For the final magazine if I decide to edit the photo, I have decided that it will be best to stay clear from the special effects, as they all are quite blurry. I will probably only adjust the colour tone of the image, by editing the brightness and contrast.  The size of the image was also too big, as it was over half of the page. Although, this doesn’t look too noticeable on an A3 blank sheet of paper, it would be very noticeable in a magazine as the pages usually consist of A4. This would cut part of the image off down the centre of the page. I had a problem with this particular image as it was landscape and therefore didn’t fit in proportion to a portrait image. I will improve this by ensuring I take portrait photos as well as landscape.

Another problem with the double-page spread was that the article was not professional. It is not clear to the reader exactly who the interviewer is.  I couldn’t fit the whole of the article onto the page, so I had to cut a big chunk of it off at the end. Music magazines have very interesting articles that makes the reader want to carry on reading. Interviews will be cut down by including the best parts. To improve this, I will need to narrow down the amount of words, by cutting out the ‘boring’ bits. This will ensure that I will be able to fit the article on the page. Because of this problem, the ending was just cut off. There was no conclusion to end the interview, but instead just finished with another question that showed no relevancy that it was the final question. I have decided that I will end it by including a conclusion that will thank the interviewees and say goodbye so that it is clear to the reader that it is the end of the article.

Page numbers are always used at the bottom of mostly every page throughout any magazine. At the bottom of the pages, I included page numbers in a bubble like effect. I think this worked well. However, I noticed that on the contents page, the size of the font, and the colour of the bubble was different to the double-page spread. I will need to ensure I don’t make the same mistake on my final magazine, as page numbers need to be exactly the same throughout the magazine to make it look professional.

Final Photo Shoot

These are the final photos of the artist for my magazine. I will need to edit the colour tones, by changing the contrast of the skin tone. This will add brightness to bring out the colour and make the image look more ‘eye-catching’ which will gain more attention to bring appeal to the magazine. This will prevent the images from looking too ‘wishy-washy’ on the page. This will ensure that my photos look as high quality as possible, so that they are as professional as any magazine photos can be.

I will also be editing other effects such as the make-up. I want the make-up to stand well so that the model fits in well with the pop genre. It will also appeal to the target market, as young teenage females tend to have an interest in make-up. On my draft images I managed to edit the lip colour. For the final magazine, I will also try and edit the eyes and nail colour, as well as the lip colour. Although I used make-up on my model, I want to try and edit this to add extra colour. For the eyes, I want to make them darker by adding more black. This will bring out the eyes more and make them look full, which will achieve a very ‘eye-catching’ effect. I want it to achieve a smoky eyed effect, like I previously stated I wanted earlier on in my research. For the lips, I will ensure that it is a bright colour. This will work well with the smoky black eyes as the colours won’t clash or look over the top. I will ensure that the nail colour matches the lip colour to prevent this problem.

I wanted my model to have stylish, fashionable clothing to give a modern look to my magazine. I chose a variety of trendy, yet different outfits so that I achieved this. I wanted her to look ‘dressed-up’. Pop artists have fashion stylists so that they are up to date with fashion. They are also very iconic to the target audience, so I want my artist to inspire them by their clothing, as well as make-up.

I decided to take the photo shoot at home, so that I could specifically use a wall with a plain white background. This is so that it will be easy for me to edit the images out. This was improved from my test shots, as a plain wall was difficult to find around school.

I also decided to use one model. This enabled me to have more room to take the photo, so that I could take a variety of different shots; long-shots, mid-shots and close-ups. This will be good for when I use the magazine, as in my drafts I found that I could only take long shots and mid-shots because there was more than one model.

As I previously researched poses, I had a good idea of the poses that I wanted my model to do. This made the process much easier as I knew what I wanted her to do. This makes the photos look a lot more professional, compared to the test shots, as it looks like the model knows what she is doing. This conveys a confident vibe, which is essential for an image on a magazine so that the model doesn’t look awkward. This adds more appeal to the photo. I like the use of different photos, and the way that the artist is looking at the camera on some, and also in other directions. This will give me a wider variety to choose from when deciding the most ideal image I want for my magazine.

First Draft: Front Cover

Cover Line and Content's Ideas

For the drafts of the magazine, I had to come up with ideas for cover lines and ideas for the content's page as improvements from the mock. The mock was just to give me an idea of the layout on the pages, and give me knowledge of photoshop. By including real headings for the cover lines, this ensured the draft's were as professional as they could be, to give me a real idea of what the final magazine will look like. I had to think of things associated with music, specifically including the genre pop so that it related to my magazine. I chose to feature certain pop artists such as Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears and P!nk etc. For the content's page I chose to include sub-headings with a catchy slogan.

Mock Evaluation

When making the mocks for my magazine, I decided that I didn't have enough images to choose from. Although I had a suitable amount of photos, I didn't have a huge variety. This prevented me from getting the best possible picture I could for my magazine.

One problem was that some images were not useable for the way that I wanted it. This was because I found that the landscape images that I wanted to use in particular places were not long enough lengthways but too wide. For example, on the front cover for my mock I orignally used a landscape image. But so that it fit on the page, I had to resize the image so it looked very small. Whereas, I found that for the double page spreads, it was better using portrait images compared to landscape. Landscape images took up too much of the page so I had to use portrait images instead, which disabled me from using the image(s) that I wanted. Therefore, when taking the final photo shot I will ensure that I take the photos both portrait and landscape. This will prevent this problem when making the final magazine.

I also found difficulty when choosing photo's for my content's page. Although, I took a variety of photos of the band for my magazine, I didn't take any other photos of anything else. Content's pages include photos of anything that is in the magazine, which means I will have to come up with title pages for the content's page. Therefore, I want to use a range of different photos on my covers page, compared to just photos of the band, as not everything in the magazine is just about the band. I had this problem for my mock because I  only had photos of the band. This will only be particularly important if I use more than one image on the content's page, which I might need to do if theres any spare room on the page. Therefore, for my final shots I will need to come up with ideas for photo's for the content's page.

Another thing I noticed was that when editing the photos, I couldn't cut around every single person. This was because some models overlapped other other models and therefore I could only cut certain models out. I have decided that in my final photo shoot I will include single shots of my models on their own, rather than all of them in the photos together. This will enable me to be able to edit them out of the image so they are on the own incase I want to have them separate somewhere on the pages.

Photo Inspiration: Poses

I was particularly inspired by this shot by the way that the model is standing. She is sticking her bum out to the side and bending her leg. This allows shape, which would not be achieved if she kept both legs straight. Her arms both look triangle shaped. One hand is on her neck, with the other one on her hip. This creates a 'S' shape, by the way that it goes from one hand to the other. This has inspired me to create and think of shapes that could be made for my models initials as I think this would be a very good idea for a pose. It would also look fun. It has also inspired me to prehaps use a pose like this for just one of my models so that it would be an individual pose, as I think it would look over the top if they were all to pose like this. Also, it would look like their arms are all over the place.

I love the way that the model is kicking her leg back behind her in this photo. I also like the way how her head is kind of swung back, and she is smiling. It makes the photo look very lively and energetic which I think would be ideal for my magazine because of the band and the models that I have chosen. I also like the way that she has a tie for a belt, which she is holding onto. This gives her something to do with her hands so that it doesn't look as though her hands are just hanging down beside her body. I think this would be a good pose to use for one of the models, instead of everyone doing the same pose. This is because due to the fact that it is a band, it would mean they would all be very cramped together as there is quite a lot of room needed to achieve this pose because of the way that the foot kicks out behind. However, it would be a really good pose to use for one of the models, especially the one thats on the end. It has also inspired me to experiment by thinking of doing a photo with the both models on the end to kick their legs out so the photo looks symmetrical.

For this example, I was inspired by the way that the model is holding both her hands against her face. She is very faintly just touching her face, which gives a kind of elegant effect. The way her body is positioned adds shape, by the way that she is sticking her bum to the side. This brings out the curves. I also like the way that her hair is blowing to give that windswept look. I think this would be a very original pose to use for one of my models. As well as being inspired by the pose, it has also give me inspiration to create a windswept effect for my models. This could be done by using an air fan. However, it might not work without being done professionally because the fan might not be strong enough to work. However, it could be done outside, but that means i'd have to rely on the weather for it to be a windy day which might take up valuable time.

I was inspired by this photo by the way that the model is standing. She is standing to the side, with her hand against the wall. She is tilting her head slightly so that she can have eye contact and look at the camera. She also has her hand on her hip. This accentuates her curves, whilst giving somewhere to place her hand, rather than it just hanging down beside her body. She is in high-heels. This makes her look taller. It also makes her legs look longer, which again accentuates her body. She has her feet spread evenly apart and is standing up straight to bring out her posture. I think this would look very effective if I were to do this with my models all in a line behind one another.

Mock Version: Front Cover

I edited this mock by enlarging the image, because I felt that it would improve the cover.

Front Cover Photo Edits

Before creating the mock cover of my magazine, I decided to edit the photo I am going to use to come up with different ideas and techniques. It was quite handy because it gave me some practice and preparation ready for starting my mock. Because I want my magazine to look bright and vibrant, I decided to edit the photos brightness, both by using edits that made the photo brighter and lighter so that I could compare them and decide which looks best for my magazine. I did the following edits:

Edit number 1: 'Smudge Stick'

Edit number 2: 'Diffuse Glow'

Edit number 3: 'Ink Outlines'

Edit number 4: 'Waterpaper'

Edit number 5: Changing brightness level

I adapted the colour of the photo by increasing the brightness and contrast. I changed the colour to +25% and the contrast the same. I also changed the shadow level so that it was 0%. This was to stop the photo looking too bright and over the top.

Edit number 6: Changing the layout of the models

Edit number 7: Red eye removal

Edit number 7: Editing lip colour

I decided to edit the colour of the lips. As my models didn't wear any make-up for the test shot shoot, I didn't get the effect I wanted. Therefore, because I was particularly inspired by the idea of lipstick, and didn't get this for the photos for my mock, I decided that I would get the effect I wanted simply by editing the colour. I think this looks very effective, however it would look more professional if the make-up was done. Also, it is more time-consuming to edit compared to simply putting the make-up on beforehand.

Front Cover Photo

This is the photo from my test shots that I have decided I am going to use on the mock front cover of my magazine. I chose to use this as I found that this was the shot that I liked the best, and also worked the best compared to the other test shots. This included things such as eye-contact because everyone is looking at the camera. The lighting is also very effective because all the models can be clearly seen. It is also against a clear white background, so that the models stand out and aren't detracted from anything going on in the background, such as the location (the locations in my test shots wern't too great because I had to do my photo shoot at school). The size of the models is also a good point, the photo is zoomed in enough so that they are clearly seen and of a suitable and simple size to be able to edit/photshop. They are also all pretty much in the shot (with a slight bit of Nav and Abbie cut out).  I am very keen on the way that each of the models all have individual poses, I think this is the key feature of the photo.

Band Name Font: Ultralove

For deciding the font I will use for the name of the band for my magazine, I decided to pick out the best fonts I was inspired by the most from when I researched fonts to use. I particularly liked the following four fonts: 'Journal', 'Sunshine in the Soul', 'Complete in Him' and 'Rolina' (from http://www.dafont.com/). To ensure that I got the best idea of what the band name 'Ultralove' would look like in the font, I made sure that I showed some examples. This will enable me to be able to be 100% sure that I choose the right font, which is suitable for the magazine and the band. I also decided to develop the title. For example, I found that for some of the fonts ('Journal' and 'Complete in Him') had heart shapes that you could use. This fitted in with the name of my band, as hearts are associated with the word love (which is in the band name). So I decided to include hearts and develop the title by putting hearts in different places.

Font number 1: 'Journal'

This was the first try that I did to test the font. I think this alone, looks very effective. I think it's a fancy and stylish font, which is ideal for the name of my band, because it suits the band. I like the way that it is slanted and some of the letters join together to give that stylish effect.

I decided to see what it looked like if I did a heart instead of the word 'love' as an abbrviated version for Ultralove. Although it's an original idea, I don't think this would work for the band name font because not everyone will assume or know that the heart stand for 'love', so they would just think the band is called Ultra which I don't want to happen!

I then decided to develop another idea because I didn't like the last one. So I did another example that included the 'love' as well as the heart. I think this makes it look a lot more effective. The use of the heart adds some decoration, whilst keeping it clear what the name of the band is. However, the use of the heart might make the page look a bit tacky, as though it is aimed at younger children which won't appeal to my target audience. Therefore, I will have to make sure I consider this when making the magazine.

I then decided to develop the font again by using a heart instead of the O. I think this is a very good and orginal idea. However, with this particular font it doesn't look completely right. It looks slightly spaces away from the other letters and takes away the slanted, joined up effect which is the effect that makes the font fancy and stylish, which I want to achieve for my the font for my band.

Font number 2: 'Sunshine in my Soul'

I decided to look into this font for the name of my band because it is a stylish, fancy font. This is by the way that all the letters are joined up and the way that the font slants to to side. This font would be an ideal font for the name of my band due to it fitted in with the female gender and having that 'girly' look/appeal to it. The only problem with it is that it is quite a thin, narrow font which would make it stand out less.
Due to there not being any hearts for this specific font, I decided to develop this font by seeing what it looked like with a lower case letter at the beginning of the title, instead of a capital letter. I think this looks more effective, because it looks less cramped together against the L.

Font number 3: 'Complete in Him'

I like the originality of the font, by the way that all the letters are individual because they are of different sizes/heights. Also, some letters are randomly in capital letters (the R for example). I think this is a rather catchy and interesting effect. I also like the boldness of it. It would work very well on the magazine as it would stand out. It is clear and understandable to read, which again would work well on the magazine. However, I think that it looks rather plain and simple which I think would look boring on the page.

Like the previous font I looked into, this particular font including heart shapes. I wanted to see what it looked like instead of an O. I found that the heart looks too big and out of place compared to the other letters.

I then wanted to see what this particular font (compared to the previous font), looked like with a heart on the end to add that extra detail. I again found that the heart looked too big and out of place. Therefore, I think that the font looks better without the heart idea.

Font number 4: 'Rolina'

I liked the simplicity of this font and decided to look into it. I like the shapes of the letters and the way that some look thicker than others. However, because it is so plain and simple, it doesn't look very stylish. I think that this makes it less interesting.

This specific font didn't have any heart shapes. So I decided to create a heart shape using the arrow symbol '<' and the number '3' to see what it looked like. I don't think it looks effective. It also looks quite tacky and childish, and unprofessional for a magazine.

Font number 5: 'Candy Inc'

I decided to look into this particular style of font by the way that it has everything that I am looking for in a font. This includes the way that it is stylish and fancy due to it being joined up and slightly slanted, whilst being bold and clear at the same time.

I decided to develop the last font by adding this 'curled' effect on the end of the band name. I think this works well because it makes it look more interesting. It also . However, I am not too sure exactly how this would look on the magazine cover, because it might not slightly over the top against everything else that's on the page. It might also be clashy against the background/image etc. Therefore, if I decide to use this font, I will have to see if it looks better with this effect or not so that I ensure I get the best possible font I can.

Font number 6: 'Cutie Pop'

I was particularly interested in this font by the way that it has that 'pop' look and feel about it. It also has the word 'pop' used for the title of the font, which suggests it was purposely inspired and themed around pop. I like the way that it the letters look curly which suggests that it looks 'girly'. This therefore, fits in well with my target audience as well as the genre, because it is aimed at young girls (which is who my magazine will be aimed towards). I also think it would fit in well for the band, because they are also young teenage girls. It is a clear, understandable font that is spaced out. All the letters are all the same size/height. This makes it easy to read. I was inspired by the use of the heart inside the O, as the heart fits in with the word 'love'.

I adapted this by including an exclamation mark at the end, as I found out that this particular font had a heart on the exclamation mark. Therefore, I was inspired by this because the use of the heart adds to the title as it fits in well with the whole 'love' idea. However, I don't think an exclamation mark would be ideal to use for the font for my band name as I think it makes the band name taken less seriously.
