Audience Profiling

Age: 15-21
I chose the age range for people aged between 15-21. This is because the genre I am using is pop which is mainly aimed at people this age.
Gender: Female
I specifically aimed my magazine for females because on the whole, females tend to listen to pop music compared to males. Also, the way that I will produce my magazine, such as models, the content and the use of colours and images that I will use will be more suitable and preferable to females.
Interests: Music, Fashion
The audience will need to have a keen interest in music, especially pop music, as this is what the magazine focuses on. Fashion will also be a key part of the magazine because of the clothing that the models/band members are wearing. This will make the magazine trendy.
Likes: Pop artists, Celebrities
I will be including famous pop artists and celebrities in my magazine such as Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, The Saturday's etc. The audience will need to like some of these artists to be interested in buying the magazine. They will all need to be pop artists to fit in with my genre.
Music preferences: Pop/Hip-hop
The music preferences I chose for my magazine were a genre and theme revolving around pop. This also kind of fits in with Hip-hop. Pop is aimed towards the younger, more modern generation so I will have to make sure that my magazine is stylish, fashionable and inspiring to the target market.
Colour Scheme: Bright, bold, vibrant colours
I have decided to use bright colours, because I think this fits in with the genre. I think the use of bright colours will attract the target audience; young females aged between 15-21 because the use use of eye-catching colours will appeal to the eye. This will be good for the item when its on the shelves as it would stand out.
